Sounds exactly like scalloped tyre wear to me.

Best way to confirm is get a mate and borrow his tyres that are confirmed as quiet with even wear.

My KU36's sounded like wheel bearing hum after about 10,000km's and my aligment was always spot on.

If the coilovers are metal pillow balls in the rear. (Optional extra with BC's)
You will get alot more road noise over rubber ones.
Also get a better turn in with a metal pillow ball.

Hmmm mine feel a lot firmer compared to my Billie/tein set up I had prior.

Anyone near Camden/Campbelltown keen to come out and drive my car on the weekend? :) You can tell me if I'm being too precious haha.

I had Billies/Teins and the BC BRs are a lot more compliant.

Turn your dampening all the way up to hard, then all the way to soft, then up 10 clicks. This is what I run both my cars at.

As Benny said, check the spring preload and make sure its 5-10mm. Some people adjust the spring seat as a means to lower the car. This will make it harsher and is not hows these are meant to set.

All height adjustments are from the bottom mount.

Taking a side note here....

The spec B Billies in our MY04 Wagon with stock Spec B springs (as bought from Claremont Wheelpower) is far to stiff on the bound in my opinion - it's just plain harsh! In your opinion, would the BC BR's provide a better / more compliant ride with regards to bound? I dont need fantastic handling as the car is the wifes daily, and with a new bub on the way, I want a more compliant ride to help keep bub's asleep.

My V1's are definitely no worse than the 170K billies they replaced, I'm still running in the new front dampers.
10 clicks in from full soft.
Car is going to Trutrack tomorrow for setting up so I'll know more soon.

Going a higher profile tyre is said to help eg from 40 to 45...

That's the thing, I'm not looking for "no worse" but better! I like the way the Bilstein's handle the hills, but they aren't good for a sleeping baby in the back.
Thus why i'm looking for a more compliant system

From following kyb equipped gen4s on the freeway I observed the billies were better damped over bumps/more controlled.
Suspension travel is somewhat limited on Libs thus the suggestion for taller tyres regardless of whatever struts or coils you go for. I bought my current tyres from someone who upgraded to 45s because of their new baby :-)
According to coyote, getting your billes revalved for your springs (fronts at least) is the way to go: heasmans @ C$150 per strut. Or just get racecomp KW c/o's: ask Bruce, they're pretty schmooove...
Or the above on 17's, 50's, 55's FTW... Or get an outback lol.

Choices!!!

These are annoying me so bad lol... I'm hoping someone can have a look at the dinner meet on the 27th lol.

Would centric rings on the rims assist in reducing the vibration/wobble noise? (Anyone?)

Thanks dude. I'll double check tomorrow but I'm pretty sure my gravels don't have them.
