Brake upgrade rotors

You started this thread asking where to buy "disks only" and 1 hour later you have decided it would be a great idea to buy rotors, calipers, pads, brake lines, dogbones instead.

Yeh as I wasn't aware I would need to do this if I wanted bigger disks.

+1 for "try decent pads (and fluid) first"
Could also add braided brakelines at the same time, so then you've done everything possible with your current brakes. Pedal feel should hopefully improve. If you still hate them, then start thinking brembos and $$$

Brembos is big undertaking, also might require bigger wheels too

What I am saying is you do not need bigger. same size rotors like DBA with better pads will make a huge difference.

Oh yeah that too....because they wont fit under Spec B rims. So yeah make that $4000 purchase total. Which is why I said you don't seem like the kind of person who actually wants brembos, because you aren't thinking it through.

On my GT-B I went with:
DBA 4000 slotted rotors
Ferodo DS2500 pads (cut to size)
Goodridge Braided lines
AP Racing dot 5.1 fluid

I'm very happy with the results.

Obviously you overlooked my statement previously. Slotted rotors are going to do 5 fifths of sweet FA on normal everday driving. Dont think they are an upgrade for improved braking under those driving conditions.

Even $$ fluid is pointless for everyday driving. Just make sure your fluid is fresh, $12 Castrol Response super dot 4 (changed names now) is more than enough.

Upgraded pads $220, new plain rotors $200 and braided lines $180.

You WILL notice an improvement over stock.
