18x8" ET42 didnt fit!

Not happy jan, went to purchase the below but on a test fit they stuck out of the guard way to far.

Anyone know any similar 'Advan RS' style rims that come in a higher offset/skinnier width?

How far do they stick out? The description said guard rolling is necessary for the 5x100 PCD. You should go roll your guards and then come back to test fit them again.

18x8 +42 is about the limit on a Liberty. Having said that I'm running 18x8 +45 which stick out past the guards and they never scrub.

Did the wheels just look like they'd scrub or did you try them?

Fitted the rims

We fitted the rims without tyres and they stuck out a good inch from the guard.

  according to the offset calculator the rim should only sit out 32mm wider than the stock 17" rim & from memory there was more room than that in there.....some thing doesn't sound right :?

My Prodrive are 18 x 8 with a 51 off set & they sit under they fit perfectly :D

But there is very little clearance on the inside :P

Off set is the main thing to be concerned about when it come to running an 18 x 8 on the Lib.

I am running 19x8's with +45mm, had to roll the front guards slightly but the rears fit perfectly.

Maybe the offset was wrong.... ahh well, found some alternatives (read work emotion xt7) but I might just wait 'til i find a nice set of second handers I like (that fit!)

The issue there is the +35 offset... as that would stick out plenty! :?
