Hey mate, I got it from Kenny at Rockdale K-MAC $330 for the springs only and $530 installed with wheel allingment (front and rear).

He said he can also ship springs interstate for $15-20 extra!! I am getting my swaybars and Cusco Front Strut Brace installed by IS Motor Sport Racing for $80....so I can't complain....will do a full review and pics once it is all done in few weeks or so!!

Brian, is Kenny going to give you a free alignment once the springs settle? Because ideally you don't need an alignment straight after the install unless the handling is dangerous. But otherwise you'll want to wait a week or two for the springs to settle before doing the alignment.

Some places will give you a free re-alignment once the springs settle, but some greedy places will charge you again for it!

Hey mate, yea I spoke to Kenny and he said I can get an allignment 1-2 weeks after the springs settle so it should be good!! Can't wait to get it done...hopefully PHAT GT will have all my stuff ready before the 3-4 April!

Hi all

I know you all probably hate me now for asking all these questions....but I just want to get things right the first time around thats all and here we go.

Last night, I went on a cruise with some of my mates around here in the Northern Beaches and most of their cars had coilovers which were G4, Whiteline and K-Sport!! Well....I was impressed with the G4 coilovers and K-Sport....I mean it wasn't as good as a ride as the Teins but it does the job for 'street' use!!

Well, guys lucky me is that I have booked an appointment with K-Mac this Thursday but I will cancel as I have decided that I will go with Coilovers (I thought long about what Jim said to me in the G4 racing thread) and I just want to do it right the first time!!! And as G4 Coilovers meet my budget (which has been increased now to $1100) I have decided to get these!!! One final URGENT question....what SPRING Rate (front and rear) should I get for a nice comfortable ride as I dont want to use this for TRACK or anything like that....PLEASE HELP...your feedback is greatly appreciated!!! The reason for this is that I believe we gotta inform them what spring rate we want before getting the Coilovers!!! My mate said to get 7k at the front and 5k at the back...please confirm!!! Bear in mind that I will also be installing Whiteline Front and Rear Swaybars along with Cusco Front Strut Brace!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks heaps guys for understanding my endless queries about these!!

Congrats Brian! Good to see you've made the right decision. :ok:

I think because you are picky as I am when it comes to how low you want your car, you'll get exactly what you want the first time around with coilovers. I researched every possible method to get that final 10mm lowering in the front without going coilovers, and wasted like 2 months. I finally saw the light after consulting with Jason, Trieu, Franky, and Leo during the Wollongong cruise (well, more like they cornered me and beat some sense into my thick skull :comando: ).

Anyway, as a point of reference, the JDM spec Tein Type Flex coilovers are 6k front / 6k back (according to Hyper Rev). Like Trieu & Funeral Boys (sounds like an awful name of a music band), I also have a strut and front/rear sways, and I find that to be a very good comfortable/performance balance. Good luck!

Thanks mate...I will look to get these and get them installed by IS Motor Racing....woohooo hope they have some stock at Just Jap when I order them next week!! Fingers crossed!! I just want to get these done!!

Yea...I must admit for the last few weeks I have been thinking about it back and forth as I am a bit picky as well hehehe so I am happy to have made the decision!!

So, now I have own my car (from Brand New) for 2 years...the first year was Audio Mod...second year is Suspension Mod and the 3rd/4th year maybe Engine mod hehehe oh boy the Mod bug has definitely hit me now hehehe!!

Thanks for the reply though, Jim!! It was much appreciated....if you're not doing anything and if I get all my stuff before the 3rd April (from Phat and Just Jap) then please come down to IS so we can meet and I can show you my car, etc....cheers bud!!

Brian, pity you couldn't book it for April 2nd, because Adam has organised a meet (bless his try hard soul :fool: ) at Homebush that night. Because you can simply do the mods during the day, and then stay the evening to meet up with some of the guys afterwards.

Dude, f@ck work! :yes2: Take two days off and re-book with IS a day earlier!

Wow, okay. Not only have I helped persuade him to spend more money on something he didn't want to spend that much to start with, but now I'm trying to get him sacked from his job so he can't get more money to spend on mods. I'm a terrible person. :blush2:

Brian, have you seen this?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/G4-RACING-SUSPENSION-FOR-SUBARU-LEGACY-LIBERTY_W0QQitemZ110236551518QQihZ001QQcategoryZ33582QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It appears for your model year, 8.7k front / 8.7 back is standard, but can be customised to what you want like 6k front / 6k back.

Hopefully Just Jap will have them in stock for you. Because according to the auction page, the Liberty application has to be ordered and shipped from the G4 factory in Taiwan, and will take 10 days!
