Gen 4 2.5i Brakes

Hey guys,
Its come time to change my brake pads (maybe rotors) and was wondering what my options are.
To my understanding the brakes are different to the turbos, so can I get anything a bit better than stock (cheaper) or am I out of luck?

I had Bendix Ultimates on my Silvia. They had incredibly low dust and noise, but had basically zero bite when cold. You really had to stomp on them until they warmed up. They las ages though, and once warmed up are ok. Other than that I can't really give much opinion, except DON'T ever get cheap pads. I can't remember the pads I got, but they left my wheels pretty much black after a week of regular driving.

afaik, the rears for the 2.5 are the same as the GT's, but the fronts are definately smaller.

Since your in western sydney, give vsport a call or visit their website. I highly recommend them. Brands i know are avaliable for the 2.5 endless and hawks.

Yeh I had ultimates before in my previous car, but they only do them for the fronts according to the website

i had put project mu HC+ in my 2.5i and some good fluid.

found it was better then the stock setup then the GTB.

lot of dust n noise tho.

Good old Bendix Ultimates, very little bit when cold, but require heat for best performance, if they get too hot which is a common issue, you will chew through them in no time. I have seen these pads blister and crack after a very mild track session, Bendix Ultimates will be released later in the year with a ceramic compound which will ensure a longer life at higher temps and also help provided more bite at lower temps. ...... btw consider some dixcel rotors and pad and don't forget new brake fluid

Currrently have Ferodo DS performance pads on my GTB, with DBA 4000 front rotors. Setup better than standard, with minimal fade. Still lacks a bit of initial bite. The pads are very dusty.

I have just ordered some Hawk HP+ front pads and will give them a try for comparison.

Also have Dixcel Type M rear pads waiting to go on.
