Ultima are not even close in quality or performance to Bilstein. I put them on a jeep for road use and they were fine but Bilstein are a performance shock so yes you will pay for them. If your primary goal is saving money and comfort at the expense of handling and longevity get some Ultima or entry level KYB. From there I would go Bilstein or KYB AGX and then coilovers if you take your handling really seriously.

Bilstein isn't cheap and can be very pricey. But I think you still get what you pay for when it comes to its quality.
