Cusco Brake Master Cylinder Stopper(Brace)

Hi Guys,

Do we know if one the above exists for the BL 5 Liberty(2005-2007)? The Cusco website doesn't appear to list a part number for the BL5 sedan, only the BP5 wagon non turbo???

Yes BP5 is the wagon and pretty much identical to the BL5 sedan. I've got this one on my BL5 (2008)

There's also another Cusco version also for BL5/BP5 which combines a strut brace with the master cyl support (part# 684-54B-ALN or 684-54B-ATN)

If you've used one of these braces (of any brand) could you give a bit of feedback about it?
Wanting to know if they make a noticeable difference in a normal everyday street/traffic situation - Not track.

I've got the separate Cusco stopper.

It stops the master cylinder moving, a tiny bit from a tiny bit.

Its 90% bling, but possibly worth it for the 10% or less performance improvement.

The standalone stopper is said to be more effective than the strut brace integrated unit, but dont let that "stop" you

Anyone got the Laile unit in gold want to swap for my blue Cusco unit?

I got a quote from CarMods for the Cusco one -$135 plus postage.
I'm not spending $150+ for a very marginal improvement in feel. If a used one becomes available for a decent price, great, otherwise I think I'll give it a miss.
Damn spongy brake pedal pisses me off tho..
(Fluid was changed this time last year at reputable brake place, so shouldn't have air

Maybe try bleeding the lines, braided hoses and then a stopper

Braided lines. You'll feel those a lot more than a cylinder stopper on the street. Or new brake package outright it it's worth that much money to you.
I have the brace/stopper and as above, it's 90& bling, 9% handling/steering feel, 1% (if that) brake feel.

Cylinder stoppers are track orientated bits of gear. They're for getting a better feel and performance of that last 3-5% of absolute braking. Off the track they're just cool bling
