Replacing lower control arm bushes... advice please!

just curious.. all you people that replaced the LCA's.. are you's all only just replacing the lower inner rear?

the W53353 part number that everyone keeps quoting is just the lower inner rear.. do you guys not bother with the lower inner front?

doesnt seem to make sense to me.. if you are replacing one, why not bother replacing both.. i mean, even paying retail its only another ~$60..

Borrowed 4 stands, just waiting for the right weekend to rip out the LCA's and rear upper arms!
Been sitting on the parts for MONTHS

When i replaced mine, i ended up replacing both the bushes in either control arm. was probably good that i did too

It's because the rears are the ones that are a common issue due to them tearing.. You might as well do the fronts as you say but they don't seem to wear out nearly as fast as the rears.

I thought as much... Just thought I would mention it after someone chastised me for saying someone should buy an anti lift kit as well as LCA bushes.. Basically saying they were the same part.. Obviously the anti lift/castor kits replace the rears, but many people neglect the fronts..

Looks like mine are gone now also. The rear bush atleast.
However, I was told by a reputable mechanic that the polyurethane bushes are no good as a replacement for LCA as they squeek like buggery.
Is this true? Are Whiteline polyurethane?

Never ever seen reports of that on this or any other forum
But with e.g. whiteline u can choose from stock replacement, upgrade and Motorsport versions...
I'm putting in Jspeed bushes which come with various shims to match geometry if using RCA kit or not...
Front inner bush is least stressed so may not need replacement or upgrade.

I had mine done on tuesday
both front and rear (Front arms) the front bushes were also pretty stuffed, but both rears were torn thorugh
I used Super-Pro Puly bushes from Bursons. about $220 for the entire set.
much better steering feel and LESS NVH than the stock ones

Just had my front lower control arm bushes done today (front and rear). The mechanic used a Fulcrum bush kit. Can defo feel the difference from the shot standard ones that were in there!
