Gen 2 rims.. need help

hi,
i am wondering if 19in rims will fit on a gen 2 wagon without rolling any guards or any camber. it says on the tyre placard that legally the biggest i can go is 18 but they look a bit small on the wagon. im thinking 19x8 rims with 225.35.19 tyres... any advice on these would be great aswell as the 18in rims too.... thanks

I'd say highly unlikely. I just put my stock gen 3 heritage wheels on my mates gen 2 wagon and there wasn't a lot of room between the wheel and the suspension. They were only 205's. So you'd want a lower offset to get 225's under there which I assume would be on a 7-8inch wide rim. The lower the offset the more it'll poke out the guard, but the more clearance you'll have to the suspension. This will mean you'll at least need to roll the guards. Especially if you go lower than stock. If you lower it with coilovers you'll get a bit more room in the wheel well though.

18's look way big enough on a Gen2!

Im running 225/40/18's on mine currently. You can run 225's no worries. Depends on offset as to if guards need rolling or if they will touch the strut...

ok thanks guys... what sort of offset are you running on the 18's?... if i put 18s on it i think they will be30-35 offset is this around about standard?

No chance on a Gen2 with 8" rims and a +30-35 offset.

Im running oem 7" +55. If you want an 8" you need +45 at least on the Gen2. They dont have massive arches.

got the new rims fitted 18x7.5 +45ET i think it looks great.. now for some lowering =)... and yes the tow bar has been removed
