Brake improvement for GTB Stock Wheels

Postby Mahtava » Wed Mar 14, 2012 4:58 pm

What is the best brake upgrade for my GTB with stock wheels?
The stocks are 18x7 with 215/45/18.
I'm not planning on tracking the car but I do drive it like i stole it every time I get in... :D

Change your pads and rotors, there are heaps of threads about what pads suit what etc.

and brake fluid too.

Brakes are very subjective so in my case I found that DBA4000series non slotted front rotors, Ferodo DS2500 front brake pads, Ferodo DS2000 rear brake pads, Motul 5.1 brake fluid, goodridge braided lines all round to be an awesome street/track combination. I also have DBA 4000series non slotted rear rotors sitting in the garage but didn't get a chance to put them on as I'm upgrading to brembo calipers.

Some people may also suggest a brake booster master cylinder support. I have one fitted but couldn't feel the difference on the road but could feel an improved brake pedal feel when on the track.

You could go with 4 pot AP racing calipers with 2 piece 330mmdiscs and braided lines
