I want to get the wagon handling a little better through the corners and under firm braking with some less dive. I fitted a rear whiteline swaybar with heavy duty links and this made a big improvment. Next is a front swaybar.
I want to get firmer springs and new struts/shocks. I have looked into King springs(standard height)as I dont want to lower it to much to make it impractical on rough roads or driveways. Having said that with stiffer springs with a lower staic ride height it might not compress as much as standard springs when the car is loaded up. There will be the ocasional of pulling the box trailer with gear in the boot.
The standard springs feel fairly soft, anyone got an idea of spring rate?
I contacted king springs and the standard height king springs are 200lb/in kffs-25 and ksrs-25.
I have looked into the BC coilovers BR series and they state 7.0kg front and 5.0kg rear approx 390lb/in and 280lb/in. Would these spring rates still be fairly compliant on the road with adjustable dampning as well?
The thing is I want a ride height close to standard and dont want a car that should be on the race track ONLY(bone jarring) If its not worth spending the dollars for what I want I am happy to go the Kings(standard height) with new oem KYB struts shocks.
What are peoples thoughts?
many thanks
