Suspicious Noise

Postby THERB3 » Mon Oct 10, 2011 10:29 am

Hi guys,

Driving normally around and had this noise coming from the rear passenger side wheel. At first I thought it was my pads or a warped rotor. Had a person to look at it and he confirmed it was the wheel bearing.
Can someone tell me how much they are to fix and do you need to do both sides if only the passenger rear is only affected.

Thx.

I'd also try to work out why you have a stuffed wheel bearing as well so it doesn't happen again soon.

What mileage?

Are you running spacers for those wheels to clear the Brembos?

120,000 on the clock and no Spacers on the rears as it is the rear one that has gone.
I got a quote today $330 installed and it is the whole hub kit.

If you have access to a press and are handy with a spanner you can do it for about $80 a side.

Who quoted you $330 a side?

My mechanic on the northern suburbs. He reckons it will be easier to buy the entire kit.
Mark is that a hit that you'll do it for that price lol 
