Does anyone know if usually i run 18 x 7.5 with a + 45 offset, the wheels fit perfectly in the guard, will a wheel of +55 start to stick out too much and rub?

Your +55 will sit closer to the strut by 10mm........not further out of the guard.

Actually, the edge of the skinnier rim with larger offset will sit 3.65mm closer to the strut. The track of the tyre (centreline around the circumference) will be moved 10mm inboard
