Litres used

Postby GTB-R » Thu Aug 05, 2010 4:42 pm

I feel like I'm missing something here. Can't seem to find (litres used) either in trip A or B on the dash or in the SAT nav, is this just a feature the car doesn't have?

Doesn't have that as far as I know. Only average L per 100km
What cars do have that feature out of interest?

Yes I have litres used per 100kms 9.2/100km. I'm not after an average, I'm trying to find out if there is a section where it shows litres used (alone) not in comparison.

Check the cars manual, but in my MY07 it's definitely not a feature of the LCD.

I doubt the reading is accurate enough to have a Litres used display, because then people might ring up Subaru and complain that they are missing litres and demand compensation!

Yes possibly so, it's just every other car I've owned, except for the B4, has had this feature. Just thought perhaps I was missing something. As the car offers a L/100kms anyway I assume the data is there to grab.

I've put 3,500kms on the car since I purchased it, my overall consumption is sitting around 9.2L/100kms. I mostly avoid stop start traffic but it does include a Black & Reefton Spur run with some old AM friends.

Perhaps ask some of the guys in the ECUDATASCAN thread, I myself have never used it but it's quite likely you can access that information with one of those systems.

Yeah you divide that number into 100 :P I have become very good at basic arithmetic.

They fixed it in 05 onwards and it is L/100Km

Is there a way to reset the 100km liters used for the average. Would like to see what it is like without me given it a boost full (50+ liters per 100km ) :)

Not possible to change; I've been playing around with different info displays and an info display from 2005 will SHOW L/100km on the screen, but it will be flashing and whilst the average is in L/100km, the instantaneous still seems to be km/L.
