The comments on the performance improvements are spot on and concur with my experience with my Ecutek tune on the GT.

Even little things like being able to take off from the lights in 'I' mode is nice as I found it required too much clutch slip previously.

Can't comment there, mine done by Sean at S&J here in Adelaide. Well respected tuner.

Compared to my old WRX STi ('04 - 2ltr) which was a dog to get off from the lights below 4000rpm, this one can blast away from idle!

MRT can be expensive, but if you look at the effort they seem to have put into the Ecutek tune then that's why.

Had them do an engine rebuild in my WRX and they were exxy but did a great job.

I'm just watching at the mo to see what tuning options will be available for the 2.5GT. Someone else has had a Haltech addon done for less than MRT are gonna charge for Ecutek. Will be interested to see the comparative performance figures.

There are many ways to skin a cat and the same applies to tuning a car.

There are several options but ultimately the result depends on one thing and one thing only and that is the skill and experience of the tuner.

Having been down this track several times though, there are other things that you need to be consider such as being "locked" out of the ECU after being tuned by some methods.

What do you mean by cracked it, put an exhaust on and tuned a 2.5 litre Subaru engine, nothing new here!

Have you had it done? I know my tuner has done a few more since my car. I was speaking to him this week about the next mod!

Planned mods are

Stage one: Dump Pipe, AVO TMIC, inlet pipe and cai then tune.

Stage two: AVO 420 then tune.

Stage three: broken engine, empty bank account and 2 years of payments left on the Libo (hopefully not).
