OBDII cable

Postby sundayDriver » Sat May 01, 2010 4:35 pm

I'm looking to get a OBDII-USB cable off ebay, was looking at these, annyone got an opinion on them:

option 1)
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/USB-diagnostic-O ... 335c9fa3e9

option 2)
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Galletto-1260-OB ... 35a8543cab

option 3)
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Car-Diagnostics- ... 3359fa988e

I've got an 07 GT-B, so I'm pretty sure the protocol is canbus.
Thanks.

None of those tools state they support the Subaru let alone the new ecu's, if you find one that works let me know

If you just want to log, buy one.

If you want to flash your ecu with ecuflash, get a genuine Tatrix cable.

It's just to log for now. after thinking about doing my own tuning, it's probably best I don't touch the ECU right now.

I got an ECUDataScan. It comes with the OBD II to USB cable (mini usb - so I'll need a converter if I want to try it on the laptop).

it logs, it does performance timing (including lap times), it plays mp3s and it can use the iGo sat nav software.
