Yep good background research into the mod path, however I agree using MRT parts = big $$

If you look at the source of that info http://www.sjautomotive.com.au, S&J are a very well known adelaide workshop. I use them for all my servicing, suspension, diagnostics etc, but won't be using them for Tuning seeing as they are locked in with EcuTek licensing!

LOL! Don't get me wrong, Avon. In the hands of a capable tuner, EcuTek can be a powerful tool. However most people object to:

1. MRT's underhanded and deceptive marketing
2. A good chunk of money that you pay goes straight to MRT as a license fee
3. EcuTek locks your ECU and prevents any non-MRT resellers from tuning it

I got stung on #3 after getting Autotech to tune my car. They don't know jack about the Gen IV Libertys. Ended up having to get a new ECU because my ECU was locked. Hmm, looking to sell my EcuTek locked MY07 STi ECU (Auto) soon.

If you're in Adelaide however S&J seem to be the place to go.

Heard good things about Ultimate Tunes, a MRT reseller, in ACT as well.

There's better. Personally, I'd travel to Sydney and use someone like Pulse as did Gunna.

We're trying to keep on topic and discuss MRT resellers! Pulse can tune a Liberty stuck with EcuTek, but only MY04-MY06. Otherwise they don't install EcuTek as they are not a reseller. They use OpenECU tuning, as do other places like C&V Performance.

Ha ha, I know Pulse use OpenECU tuning. That was my point (in cryptic form).

Pulse aint the only ones that can edit an ecut3k locked ECU

LOL! Pulse can only do MY04-MY06 locked ECU's. If you know places that can edit locked ECU's for MY07+, please PM me!
