Followed that link and it was $800 US, which at todays live exchange rate (of $USD0.832) works out at over AUD$960. It then ships from the US, which would cost a fortune to get over to Oz.

was it a different link you meant to post ?

Cheers

Dwayne

By most accounts the Perrin is good piece of gear but not sure its any better than the AVO. As previously stated the Perrin will cost you alot more to land in Oz than the AVO purchased locally. I have the AVO and its better than the stocker but not outstanding..does the job as they say.

i reckon the hypertec is a better proposition

having seen one on michaels GT and the results he got, that would be my choice.

I bought my AVO TMIC direct from AVO Australia 6 weeks ago and I got charged $799.00 (just like the catalogue says) with a few other bits and pieces. And I'm very happy with the 183.7kw atw my car is producing (Phat exhaust, K&N filter, silicon inlet/intake/throttle body hoses).

I've made several enquiries of US parts suppliers and mailing out a single part is few expensive but it gets a lot cheaper per part when you order lots of parts.

With all these after market TMIC, I'm guessing they all require the engine shroud to be trimmed/removed/replaced, yes?

I bought the AVO TMIC for $800 from AVO Melb some time ago. fitment was no issue and it works well. I am sitting around 175 kw and 415 Nm but expect more with a new tune planned. The engine cover does not fit with the AVO TMIC but you could trim it a bit and get it to fit. I have not bothered.

just wondering if the bonnet still "seals" around the TMIC without the engine cover?
