Finally got a tune done on our factory stock tb STi
Tuned at Pulse Racing Menai by Paul Fisher
182.6awkw @ 15psi
Gained a bit over 40kw from the STI tune !! OMFG which makes me wonder why this isnt done by STI in the first place ??
so relieved to have some boost and more importantly a bit of bottom end torque again ! great to drive now . SI drive was no problem for him either guys , so for $1100 you cant beat that for $$ per kw

Great result but numbers can be deceiving especially if you do the power runs in 4th gear instead of 5th. What was the torque figure Paul produced from this tune? A good tune makes our cars soo much more fun to drive. Can you also tell us what mods you have on it?

It's tuned rich from the factory so it doesn't ping and blow up your engine, like what happened with the gen3 Liberty B4. They decided to err on the side of caution - probably a bit too much. I know with my stock tune, we eliminated about 10% fuel without adjusting anything else as a baseline.

Although a bit high for a stock standard Lib, STi or not, the important thing here is the huge improovement from base. Well done Rod! Glad to see Paul made it happen foe you!

I have a tuner to recommend in Melbourne, if you're interested. He tuned my car.

WOW I need to find a dyno that reads as optomistic as that!!
Seriously the increase is good but I would take it with a pinch of salt on a dyno that is reading that high.
I would suggest it's more like 30Kw actual increase

Paul uses OpenECU. And I think 15psi is fairly common, it's just one pound more than stock.
Which reminds me. I should go and play with my ECU maps again some time...

I think it might be time to call Paul and ask him some questions about his flash tuning for Libs. Great looking web site he's got.

- what was the stock STi Tune figure before the re-flash? Is it the red line which looks to be 148kw or so?
Important details

he's a bit keen:
"Pulse Racing has forged a reputation across the globe as the no.1 tuning workshop. From complete ECU installs to dyno tuning, we have it covered. We can help you make the horsepower you need!"
Best in the world.. not knocking the company, but thats a big call to make

Did you get your stock maps back (on dish or flash drive)
Very Impressed still - if only in Brisbane:(

those statements did make me LOL for a second or two but a 385 kw atw w/ out NOS for a 2000 WRX STI sounds impressive none the less.

doing the power runs in 4th gear on a 6 speed is also a bit deceiving I think.
