For those of you who have owned a WRX prior to getting into a Liberty will know about the burble.

Moving from the WRX to a MY04GT something was just missing.... burble. Then onto a 3RB... NO BURBLE.

Since getting the GTB running a stock exhaust, the burble was there.. but just not enough to put that smirk on your face when your hooning along the back streets....

Now... with the DP freshly installed, coupled with my K2's (full turbo back) system I HAVE BURBLE!!!! Farken awesome!

For those of you who have the 2.5L Turbo Manual and waiting for it to arrive... I can say it is worth it.

I am finding that the engine now rev's so much more freely, reving ALOT faster, which I am guessing would equate to a faster car (please don't quote me you blardy engineers out there).

No engine lights apparent.

Deeper, stronger sounding burble and when I gun it, it makes the perfect exhaust note that I have been wanting for a long long time.

Performance... well, it put a big smile on my face after a few days. The ECU seems to adjust itself to the new airflow, so the moment you put it on and gun it, the difference is not as substantial until a day or two after.

You guys would of heard it during the SQUIRTS from KK's last week

But then again, that's different. Some people like different things, some don't like. Just like some people don't like others for no apparent reason *shrug*

I too personally think the burble is better suited to WRX's and the Libs deserve something more understated.

Still prolly acheivable with a DP and Phat centre with stock muffs.

Your ECU is stock not retuned? No boost spikes?

Burble on a liberty sounds/looks AWESOME! I say looks, because you expect to see a WRX driving past, and when you turn around its a lib! Its awesome!

I love the unexpected contrast of any luxury car with a growl/burble (seen/heard some awesome examples of this near work - M5's, AMG C63's, Aston's - especially the one with GGGROWL plates )

Yeap, that is it James. The M5 and C63 are classic examples... when idling and cruising it is not loud, but when you give it some stick, it growls.

Boost spike, yeap, getting abit of thtat with my ECU not being tuned, however that will be remedied next week

so do I need to get a tune? if Im fitting the DP? I hadnt budgetted for that straight away....

Tune will be desirable, but not a requirement

Agreed - if its only barking once you are up it then that would be nirvana.

Would need to be quiet in idle and crusing for me though
