Any recommendations on what the best (performance wise) panel filter to purchase? HKS perhaps?

Yeah the hks super hybrid filter is what most members are using as a replacement of the stock filter.

I talked with Phat last week, he's feeling the crunch of the aussie dollar and is holding off on all orders for a while

There's also the Apexi filter or the AVO one which is pretty good. I think troy (T-REXX) sells the apexi or AVO directly for the AVO one.

Best panel would have to be the HKS.

People have used, K&N, I used a Unifilter one originally but both are oiled filters which can cause problems for your AF / O2 sensor.

Unsure if the Apexi is an oiled filter... Anyone care to shed some more light on it?

Why don't you look at getting an Apexi pod set up? Fairly inexpensive & would give you a greater performance gain.

I'd like to see how the HKS one and the A'PEXi one fare side by side at some point.

is anyone looking at doing a comparo? Or Troy, do you want to send me an A'PEXi panel so I can do my own docu?

have you got something like a Magnehelic (differential pressure gauge)? Best bet for measuring performance potential of an air filter

I've used UniFilters on just about every vehicle I've owned. Never a drama with AF meters (only a prob if you over oil them and a film builds up on the wire)

Cant affect O2 sensors in any way

Aussie product and flows better, reusable and washable too
