I decided to learn how to fix it myself, already had a tactrix, grabbed an innovate wbo2, and got logging.

So far I have pulled a touch of timing from the load areas that were seeing knock, re scaled my maf with the CAI to within 5% for closed loop and open loop areas, followed Kiddo's advice on the fuel trim ranges, adjusted some transition timing and set full load fuelling to about 11.2.

IAM is staying at 1 and no pulled timing, only place i still see fbkc is around 2000 rpm at 1ish load cruising in CL - from what i read this is pretty normal for these cars.

My only other worry is i burn a shitload of oil, its using well over a litre in 5000km with a GS AOS, other than that its running great.

Awesome stuff mate! Well done! :D These engines do have a habit of using oil that doesn't seem excessive to me, just remember to keep an eye on it after doing a spirited drive.

Awesome :)
Oil use, internal: possibly gummed oil control rings, worn valve guides
External: rear main seal, rocker cover gaskets and half moons, o ring at oil filler base, cam seals...

Have some further updates on this, while my IAM is staying at 1.0 now - it def has less power, and seems excessively rich with the re-scaled MAF (i have killed two WBO2 sensors, back of car is sooty) its been bugging me as to why and I even lowered the MAF scaling down manually from what i calced to to be.

Anyway, the past couple of months i have been thinking about patching the ROM with Aijii mod so have been going over my rom further, and I think i have figured it out! Whoever the guys were that tuned the new intake reduced the injector scaling down to 510 instead of scaling the MAF, from what i can tell this would explain the insane fine learning corrections and the richness with my new scaling!

So Im going to change the scaling back to 550 now with my previously calculated MAF scaling, - wish me luck!

I recommend megalog viewer, the paid version has 3D scatter graphs for fuel and spark tables etc...
A small investment to get very granular analysis of your logs...

Got the log Viewer, very cool.

So this totally worked, AF learning is perfect now.
knock is gone (!) I had to add HEAPS of fuel at the top (first run was 12.2:1 - yikes) still gotta tweak the midrange as it has moved the load points a bit, but over all its amazing, I have been able to add all my timing back so power is waaaaay up again

Also, it had a really weird rev hang that used to drive me nuts, its completely gone.

I honestly don't know why a shop would tune an intake by scaling injectors, but there you go :\
