Gen V noisy/rough cold start

Car is a 2013 GT and has a couple of times started rough from cold. Each time the car had not been started for a couple of days, but started first time with no warning lights, and went quickly to cold tickover of 1500rpm or thereabouts.

However, its started noisily, like tappets/similar didn't have enough oil, was a bit rough as though the spark wasn't strong enough, and this lasted for about 2-3 seconds. Once started its fine, and has no problems actually starting. Its just rough when its been sat for a bit.

Oil level is fine, no other problems, other than suspected boost leak which I'll post about later.

I've had a few 2.5s (99, 03 and 07) in the past and a 2.0T (05) but not a late 2.5T - is this common or symptomatic of something else??

Ta for any input

What oil do you run?
When were the spark plugs changed?

Well, its taken me a while to respond because the f**@@*@ thing hasn't done it since I posted! Typical.

Anyone want to put money on the problem coming back tomorrow...???

I think Fedaykin is right, how's your oil? How old? Too thin to start with? Lifters not pumping up quick enough?

Fair point. Prior to me, the car was a one-owner, serviced by the book, Subaru dealer only, kinda car. So I had one oil change done straight away, and now, 5000kms later, coming up for another. Oil at the mo seems OK, a bit darker than I was expecting, but none seems to be used which is always nice! Spec was whatever it says in the book - can't remember off the top of my head.

So, if I'm looking at investigating this, and a couple of other little niggles, any recommendation for getting a service and once-over somewhere in Sydney??

Garage88 seems to be popular, but there are a few other Subaru shops around.
I wouldn't trust a dealership to service it properly all the time.

Main dealer is somewhere near the bottom of the list!! Was thinking of All Drive Subaroo, as a Sube specialist, but might see about Garage 88. Its all a pain though as I'm on the Northern Beaches. First World Problems...!!
