Mine jammed on and nearly caught Fire. I had to disconnect the battery to stop it and it threw code P2444. Now its fucked it chucks code P0410 every 2nd cold start, runs normal though. I booked it into my Tuner to have the heads plated where the pipes from the pump attach and have the codes removed from the ECU.

The car has mostly been just sitting waiting for my repair booking, weeks now. I purchased the car off Subaru Aust, the original owner, through a dealer and they tell you nothing about this fault. They are DOGS and hope you will just fix it yourself and go away.

Rant Over

3-4 weeks. I have contacted a dealership yesterday and they booked me in for Friday, but have since called and said "No more parts in stock so we will call you when they are available"

Don't bother taking it to the dealership. $4500 for a replacement pump that doesn't do anything anyway.

Get the blanking plates to block off the inlets at the cylinder bank, remove all codes relating to the pump and you'll be on your way.

Did you even read past the first 3 words in the topic?

It's a safety/warranty recall. Repairs are at no cost to the consumer/owner.

But, I do agree that deleting the pump and it's associated components would be the best permanent (if not illegal) fix.

I had mine done on Thursday. Basically, as mentioned above, the relay fails causing to pump to remain on, overheat, and potentially catch fire. It was a ten minute job to change the relay and check the pump. My pump was fine so that wasn't changed.

I got mine done last week. They also inspected the dash again (for sticky fault) and have submitted form to Subaru for replacement.
Check when getting the recall done if they can submit the form for 'replacement under good will' by Subaru Australia for your dash.

Had mine done today at Subaru Osborne Park. Took literally less than 10mins! Good to know my car won't catch on fire now!

Had mine done last Tuesday, told them the pump fried, they replaced the relay and said it was checked with everything being fine.
I started the car to leave the dealer and all the warning lights did there thing. I walked back inside and told them the dash looks like a Xmas tree.
They then did what they said they did and checked the car, said the relay was working but the pump was not DERRR!. Then saying this is the first one that they have had with the actual fault. My wife picked me up in her car, that was booked the next day and I said "Now well have no car tomorrow plus some flack" It took them 15 seconds to replace her relay on the spot. Two days later I picked the car up with a new pump and all is well. Invoice was marked $1000 No charge to me
