Thanks. I will try an Oring and flush, and if that doesnt help, I will come back to you. Is power steering fluid NOT one of the fluids that gets refreshed at the major service group, because I have had all that done at the stealers?

Since this I have replaced the inlet Oring, when I finally found it after sucking out enough oil. So far so good.

Have a read of this thread if you haven't already because the hose clamp can be a problem especially on older hoses so I recommend replacing and possibly the hose depending on how hardened it is with age.
I made these changes at least 20K ago and haven't had a single noise or problem with the pump since - maybe just lucky. As with many things early intervention FTW.

Just replaced the hose and Oring - messy process, easy to get oil everywhere!
So far so good.
