I've had many taxi rides including Winton and the black spur.
It's delightful. Can't believe what the stock diffs are capable of...
Shockworks love rumble strips :P

Sorry guys,

So I actually had another question due to a thought that was brought up by someone, and I can't believe I disregarded it when I originally made this thread.

E85 Flex Tuning

This would actually be a feasible option for the rare days I even considered using this fuel while still being able to run 98 on Daily Duty without having to worry, and seeing as i'm upgrading Injectors + Fuel Pump it makes sense to spend the little bit extra and have this capability from the get go.

My question is, What components are required and are compatible with E85 for Flex Tuning. (Injectors, Fuel Pump, Flex Sensor)

Seeing as my stock ECU is compatible for my build and tuning, Is it also usable for a Flex Tune setup?

My apologies, I know this information is out there but thought it best to keep it within my thread for easy reference.

Look to adding at least 30% + extra capacity to your fuel system inc pump/s, fuel filter, fuel sensor/s, injectors, lines, rails surge tank or dual pump cradle etc.

Consult your tuner for what ethanol sensor etc to source.

Iirc, it's also possible on stock injectors plus pump, filter and an fpr running higher base pressure with a conservative tune and ethanol sensor ;)

Virtual flexfuel tuning via the front AF sensor is in development iirc.

Clutch will needs some loving if pushing for the 300rwkw mark.

http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20495 …………… Some inspiration in this build, also one of many examples of the EFR’s applications that you should take note of……..

Of course G88 is a great supplier and fabricator all things Jap and fast.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

Will definitely look into the clutch, Have had my mind on it as to how much i'm going to need to invest into it.

Youll need a few grand for a clutch kit install/ service.

I have a stock clutch with 95k km with ~220-230atw and its fine for DD, however it burns a bit on the track and is no good for launches.

Can i ask what your history of cars is like?

I have owned in order a Skyline 33-GTS, CA18DET 180SX, 1998 GC8, Liberty RS Turbo and now the GT-B Sedan.

I have arranged for a Jim Berry clutch to be fitted to the car as well as a lightened flywheel.

Have also taken the advice from many on here and will be using Shockworks Coilovers as well as using Garage 88 to supply a lot of the parts and accessories outside of the motor build including my alignment and wheel set up as well as cosmetics bar those I'm purchasing via RHDJapan.

Work will most likely be starting in just over a month as that's the soonest available. First step will be Suspension, Braking and Bracing. Roughly a month after that the entirety of the engine build will begin.

My only current worry albeit minor as I am fairly confident due to research is wheel sizing as I am undecided between 18x8.5 +38 or perhaps a +47 offset to achieve filled out guards with absolutely no rub while still only needing guard rolling as it is inconsequential anyway.

Build is updated, and is as follows:

Love it, don't forget avo HD rsb reinforcing brackets, Cusco or DIY could suffice, even stock sways can bend the rear mounts under duress ;)

What's your take on serial vs parallel lines?
Both can work on uprated lines etc, but the debate rages... ;)

Yeah, I went with the overkill as it leaves me room to grow should I ever want to expand as well as giving me an extra layer of reliability.

I'm slightly bias towards Parallel, I have always used them and was first introduced to them when I rode motorbikes.
As you said, both achieve results however I have found that the Parallel set up offers a stronger initial bite which suits my style of driving where as the serial lines offer better feedback.

Is the GFB electronic boost controller really needed? Thought the ECU in these cars easily coped with that level of mods and won't the ECU just see unexpected boost levels and pull it back down/throw a CEL anyway?

Also for wheels, wht not get the +47 Kiwami's. Thats what I've got on mine and reckon its almost perfect appearance wise without needing much work to be rub free.

And the Q300 is a good choice too. Hated the cost for mine but would happily pay it again, bloody love the noiseit makes.
