What are you after?
You refer to part numbers?
Part number of the Factory Service Manual or parts numbers within the FSM.
(I have never seen part numbers within the FSM, except for special service tools?)

There's a link in my sig to opposed forces...
Or click the google this forum link and add FSM as a keyword...

https://www.google.com.au/search?output ... asn.au+fsm

Here ya go. ^

Now a pdf version of the ADM MY07 & MY08's...
I'd like to see that!
But via that link ^^ you'll find an html version :good:

As for differing part numbers...
You may be using an FSM from the wrong year, car or market.
I usually use OF, then an html DL version and crosscheck on the various Russian sites I have bookmarked ;)
Obviously google chrome comes in handy at that point.

If you provide an example I'll take you through the process step by step :good:

Ben has given you the link to Opposed Forces.
This is a great parts manual tool.

I have access to a pdf of the Subaru USDM factory Service Manual for the MY09 BL BP liberty covering the 2.5T motor and the 6MT transmission.
I cannot help Benny with a AUDM FSM for the post facelift models, but have the USDM vesrion

Opposed Forces is good, but almost always has Parts shown in the diagram which are not listed below in the table. Which is annoying, because you think you've finally found the Part you're after, only to have it not list the Part#.

Try Subaru FAST II. It is the official Subaru Parts Catalogue software, where you can enter a VIN and it gives you the details incl Part#s and Paint Code etc for that vehicle. I have the catalogue file up to 2012 incl all non-JDM/USDM cars like ours (all models, not just Legacy/Liberty). But there are catalogue files downloadable online for all JDM and USDM models too. You have to download it (not as easy as going to a website), but well worth it :).
Or just let me know what you're after, and I'll punch it in. It can also search by model instead of VIN (like Opposed Forces) , but I find it easier to use a VIN if available.

EDIT: And yeah, like others have said, the Workshop Manual is what tells you how to service it, but doesn't list any part#s.
