You should hear the pump run at ign on before cranking(for a few seconds) if the background noise is low - in my garage its easy to hear.

Hey chubbs.....hope your issue gets sorted out when you get back.....another tip to check if fuel pump is working is remove the return fuel line in the engine bay and re direct it to a jerry or similar.....that way you get a visual validation that fuel is flowing....once you turn it over.....sometimes hearing it and seeing fuel flow properly is 2 different things..

Thats my 2 cents...

I am back from my holiday and have had no luck. When i powered up the car today i had error codes saying:

* maf sensor low jnput
* iat sensor high input

I dont know weather these codes are from the battery dying and me putting a jumper pack on the battery.

The alarm system seems to be fine and out of any theft mode. Still no fuel pump priming!

That cel combo can happen from starting the car with the maf/iat plug not plugged in...

Those cells have been cleared and not returned. I have had an auto elect come and have a look and after removing the car alarm system its still not priming. I have power to the pump and power to the coils but it still wont crank over. No broken wires, replaced the ecu with pump and controller but they are all fine. Replaced all fuses and relays and still nothing. There is np fuel pressure to my regulator. I have pulled the lines off and theres fuel in them but not enough by the loos of it.

Really dumb question, but have you replaced the filter assembly/pump housing?
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

No i havent replaced the pump housing yet. I checked all the connections to the housing and they seem fine as i have heard of the pins where the wiring loom connect can burn out.

So when you swapped the ECU did you get Subaru to recode the key?

If you did..has it been recoded back to your original ECU if you've swapped back?

You mentioned it's not cranking...still sounds like an immobilizer issue to me.

The car would crank but not start. The pump would not prime. All grounds were checkand are all fine. Immobilizer is fine aswell. I found the problem. A pin in the fuel pump assembly was causing the problem. Replaced the assembly and it works now.

Thanks for all your input guys appreciate it.
