Hey Guys,

My car has recently started making a knocking noise while in drive stopped at the traffic lights. It doesn't always happen, only when the car has warmed up, in drive and stopped - even still it the knocking noise doesn't always come on maybe 8 out of 10 stops. The knocking sound goes away when I start moving from the lights or when I put the car into neutral.

I drive an 07 Liberty GT Auto with dump & mid pipes, 3 port, and tune.

Any ideas what this could be? I'm rather concerned.

I also have a weird whining noise which i'm sure isn't induction or spool. it comes on when I step on the throttle half way.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Link a video with audio, from the cabin should be fine.

Hard to say, maybe check for an exhaust leak?
Spray soapy water on suspect areas on cold start...

Wouldn't an exhaust leak make that sound all the time though? once it's in neutral or I start moving the noise goes away.
