I have had several Libertys and an Outback. The first was a Gen1 2.2 that got 420,000 km (with just one clutch changed out at 200K) that started to jump out of 3rd gear then! The Gen4 Outback (2.5) did 220,000 faultless kilometres and we are up to our third Gen4 all faultless and troublefree high kilometres - 220K, 110K (written off) and 150K.

i do service mine every 10,000 kilometres with good semi synth oil and filter. They are great cars - reliable as a Swiss watch from my experience.
