You're welcome to try my car or install my sprintbooster into yours for a test run to see what you think Chris

cheers

Hi James.. might just take you up on that offer... your out near nedlands aren't you?

My concern would be the Blitz controller would be redundant as soon as I had the car retuned?? Phat, what are your thoughts on this?

Cheers

Chris

yep, work in Nedlands, live in Lesmurdie, so which ever is closer to you Chris.
Regarding the sprintbooster (and possibly the blitz controller), I think that you would probably want to remove it when you get an ecuteck (I think of it as more of a quick fix until I have the moola for the big tune :) )

I wouldnt get an ECUTECK.. I would be looking at an ASG tune.. hence my query.. the tune from AllStar is $1000.. the Blitz controller is ~$300.. hardly seems worth it!

I would be VERY keen to see how the ASG tune goes... :) Let me know when you are planning to do it

Interested in trying to get a group buy discount from them? I know one of my friends with an XT forester is very keen,

Interestingly, it might be possible to tune one of our cars and have ASG copy the tune to the other car (as in My liberty and your liberty) as we will have almost identical modifications, and the base car's are identical)

Do you mean the Sprint Booster or the ECU Tune?

A sprint booster essentially amplifies the throttle signal, and overrides the ECU's premapped throttle positions... Resulting in a quicker response from the engine, but does NOT improve HP/NM figures at all.. It is purely a "drive ability" enhancement

thanks suff - I was going to ask that question too.

So, being a newbi, with a tune, the throttle response is fixed as part of that tune and the throttle controller is not really worth it - correct?

providing it is a full custom tune, yes. Doubt STi Docklands would play with throttle speed
