Pulley Covers

Is anyone on here with an after market top mount that is unable to use their engine cover using a pulley cover to cover all the drive belts etc at the front of the engine? If so, what brand? I've noticed the perrin and Grimspeed ones say only for wrx or forester, but surely they'd be similar for libs?

I'm upgrading my cooler and had the engine cover off today in preparation and with the engine running I noticed those drive belts could really F you up if you weren't paying attention. I knew someone that had a hand minced from a fan belt :?

They are the same - Rallisport direct confirms this fits the legacy: http://www.rallysportdirect.com/GrimmSp ... over-Black and they are all basically the same.

edit: also, they are a drill hole away from fitting anything anyway :)

Thanks Matt!
I've been digging around a bit more and some people say you need some brackets for non-wrx as the wrx come with the pulley covers already. Looks like it's possible though which is great news!

*edit* yeah rally sport mention the bracket needed too. For anybody interested it's this one:

Let me know if you order from overseas Adam - I've been thinking the same thing myself, and we might as well save a little on shipping if we're both buying. :)

copy that Robert!
That's a good idea. I'll see do some calcs and see if it works out cheaper to buy from the US at the moment as our dollar isn't super strong.

I thought about that rob, but how do you fix it at the firewall end? Do you just fix it at the grill end and let it rest on the top of the engine?

I got a genuine "2.5 STI" pulley cover from Japan Parts, and fitted it with a bracket from a WRX...

I thought about doing the same but assumed the sti/wrx one would be the same price as an aftermarket one. I'll look into it though :good:
