LOL @ Subaru's response. That is just shocking (complete bullsh!t answer BTW).

I have an MY08 tbSTI that is at 130,000km+. I service it with 5W-30 oil. My car runs a little bit more boost than factory, makes good power and engine sounds and runs properly smooth. Zero leaks to report here.

My car has also been to Wakefield before so... I wouldn't worry about the engine going pop provided you look after it and service it regularly.

G'day Guys

Let's add another chapter to this saga.

Would you believe but I have now had three failures of this turbo oil feed (pipe complete oil - OEM part name) in 2 years.
Each one costing me a bloody fortune.
Can anyone tell me WHY this part would fail? Especially 3 times in 2 years! arrghh. Could it be vibration? torque from engine and turbo?
Surely I cannot be getting the faulty part 3 timesin a row....the last two shops MRT and Autosport Engineering have sworn to me that they are genuine and are the
items Subaru has advised.

The part number that Subaru is supplying is #15192AA512. Apparently this is the number that replaced the faulty version.
Speaking of which does anyone have a copy of that technical bulletin? There were some other items that were replaced as well.

I have rung Subaru but as I have not used a Subaru dealer to have this investigated, they will not reimburse any of the labour costs etc.
Pretty poor considering they were the first one to replace it back in 2014.

Anyway, any help or information is greatly appreciated.
