I agree that's probably the biggest issue for me personally. It makes it so much harder to build an impressive accelerator. Easily leaves stis at the lights a mile behind but still feels less impressive than a stock wrx

However that doesn't amount to wanting a manual

I wouldn't fit your vf52 until just before your tune... if you put the turbo on now you have to stay off boost until its tuned, which will be ages if you haven't even chosen a tuner yet.
Organising your tune should be your first priority.

P.s. Still waiting on the video you were going to make me newbie.

Yeah more than happy with mine!

Youre an accountant arent you Newbie? Im guessing you have a smart phone. It would take you 30 seconds to sit your phone down near your exhaust pipes and give the car a few revs for me. It would be a REALLY big help if you could do it for me, i have my tune soon and need to make up my mind before the tune for obvious reasons.

Ill call it in as the favour you owe me for getting you photos of my intake when you were installing yours

You can have a 300kwatw 5eat lib, but because of the torque convertor and turbo lag, you'll never spin the wheels on take off (unless you launch). It "feels" less impressive than a manual, even though it's faster.

For practical purposes, I prefer my auto as these things don't matter anywhere on the road for eg. during an 80-120km/hr overtake on a freeway, the auto is a nicer daily in just about every aspect etc.

For me personally unless it's a dedicated race machine....I don't see the point of a manual. People often use the argument that a manual lets you feel the car more....but with a 5 speed auto and the ability to select gears with a press of a button, you get at least 80% of that feeling and 95% of the performance...for that 10% of the time you actually hoon your car.

Not having to row through gears the other 90% of the time....priceless. 8)

Having to row up and down through the gears, rev matching, the precision feel of the short shifter, this is the raison d'être.

You also loose power/performance. I did not know this but a quote from an auto owner has educated me 8)
