Pulse has long history of dangerous tunes.

Apart from over inflated dyno figures, you should monitor your tune cause you wouldn’t want to end up with major engine issues.

Not meaning to scare you, but I’m speaking from experience and a number of members here have many issues with locked ECU’s which can’t accessed by other tuners and ongoing tune related issues.

Firstly 195kw is grossly overturned/inflated for the mods you have…….. you’d be lucky to putting out more than 160kw…….. Pulse has lame trick of tweaking the dyno for big numbers, a member here once pulled 200kw from 08 tb sti, without a single mod, not even an air filter.

Secondly Pulse should be able to diagnose the issue since the car was tuned by them, but this were you get to experience the Pulse way of doing things.

That is good to know, who is a trustworthy tuner in Sydney???? i am willing to take it in to get it fixed/retuned.....
As it stands the car barely starts and if it does i can't accelerate as the car does not move.

Contact Garage 88, they’ll be able to line you up with Scott from Insight Motorsport……. You won’t be disappointed.

Or if you're willing to remote tune it and have the hardware and know how, contact a member here by the name of Coyote.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

I dont mind taking it the Garage 88, heard of them before and to be quite honest i did have concerns about the output i got from Pulse.

Only issue is how do i get the car there .... I did manage to get a good 15mins out of the car when it had a computer reset...
To be quite honest i was considering putting in a bigger turbo but i need to find the issue first....

Is it worth investing in a smartphone scanner to reset the engine? http://gopointtech.com/products/
I tend to get a decent run out of the car after a reset...

Is it even worth taking it back to Pulseracing??? I wont have to pay for the retune or should i stay away and take the hit with another tuner?

I wouldn't reset it

Any learnt codes will clear, making it harder to diagnose

And besides if you're only after an ecu reset, save your money and disconnect the battery.

Good point, only risk is if the engine light comes on during the drive there.

Want it fixed? Put it on a truck to G88, pay them to fix any mechanical issues then get it tuned wherever Michael says.

+1 don't reset it until you fix the issue. Resetting does more damage than leaving it as is.

Based on what you said, that the car developed the fault 2 years after being tuned at Pulse, that the throttlebody etc had been cleaned, if everything else has been eliminated:

Remove glovebox...

Replace Electronic Throttle Control Relay

I'll look for the relay part number now...

From: http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/u ... ration_1/#

Googled part number
Googled Denso part number

Of course check with your local parts translator against your VIN (eg Ashley at Makin and Luby) or google it all for yourself. Don't try it at home its at your risk etc.
