(this is not my car, just a video showing a similar sounding noise). I don't have a manual boost gauge so can't tell if it's actually doing this exact thing.

Haha no if your car is properly tuned the boost gauge certainly won't be doing that. That thing is either faulty or something is wrong with the WG.

The pierburg sounds just like cynner said before, similar to a little Wastegate fluttering inside the engine when you're on high boost. Like a fast ticking/rattling sound. It's doing it's job of keeping your boost nice and even to what the tune is asking.

Cool glad its normal sound for the Pierburg.

As for the bracket, I've mocked something up and getting prices on laser-cutting it at the moment. Here's a pic.

The single bolt hole on the bend would attach to where the map sensor bolts on, and the flat bit would sit flat with the 3-port attached under it (sort of to that space to the left of the alternator).

I'll probably get a few made up (don't think it will cost much more to get a few extras).. will take photos of the finished product if anyone is interested in buying one? (will just split up the cost of the laser cutting between how ever many people want one)

Bracket will be $30, made from 1.6mm stainless. I'll take a pic once I have it made (I'm getting them to make 2 on the slight chance someone will want one here) :)

Wow, I have a Grimspeed and it definitely doesn't do that.. neither the sound or on the boost guage.
It's still fairly new so maybe they've fixed whatever the issue was in earlier ones. Dunno.. The only reason I got it was because of it's neat mounting bracket, and it was a relatively cheap supporting mod even tho I didn't really know exactly what it did. If I'd had a neat little bracket like this I probably would have gone the pierburg : )

I think it is more than a safe bet that someone will buy it assuming you have made sure this will fit well. If you are confident then get 1/2 dozen, make it worthwhile ;).

Once I get the first two made, I'll make sure it fits nice, take some photos and can get some more made if needed.

alexeiwoody - did you need one still?

Bracket done, fits nicely. Here are some pics:

Costs me $30 for the bracket, $1 for bolts and postage would be about $4 at a guess...

I have 1 ready to go. Probably need a few extra people interested to have some more made... anyone else?

Alexiwoody - do you want this one? (first in?) or wait until there are more done to send up with Bennys if he still wants one?

Looks great Kim but from my experience those bolt heads will prevent the engine cover fitting properly. Even if this is the case the solution should be to use round/flat head bolts so the bracket is still a win. Well done.
