I'm just trying to figure out who's "troll account" he is.

Clearly not Buddah's - can you imagine if that was someone's "normal" account? :)

I was thinking the exact same thing last week, although Ric should have picked up on it?

He'd have to be looking at it (AFAIK, phpBB isn't proactive in alerting an admin about this), and even then, it wouldn't be hard to be careful and avoid detection.

Absolutely, thus going the alloy acl heatsheild wrapping the wrap as were.

The thing is my headers are used so coating is, AFAIK, no longer an option.
Plus its crazy expensive in Melbs at least :)

Coated my used dump for $130, inside and out. Speak to Barney, in my exp the headers cost the same across all states. Only downside - it took a week.

King of all threads FTW

Hallam performance exhaust?

So that sounds great! :) I'll do it!

As I understand the process, as long as the item can be cleaned, then it can be coated.

As alexeiwoody noted though, the downside can be the turnaround time. I was quoted seven days for the turbo and downpipe to be coated.

Yah Hallam. Just to clarify - they charge $30ish per foot of the exhaust, so it will cost more to coat headers than dump. I was saying that it's the same cost I've seen across aus.

Just so that you don't chase me later when you get charged more

Barney will be able to give you a rough quote, and he even combined shipping for me with some V8 M3 headers he was coating, so I saved $30 hehe.

I got a reply from Zircotec about their ceramic spray treating service.

Hi Shav, thanks for your enquiry. Cost to coat a 75mmID x 400mm long dump
pipe in Performance White would be $75 inc GST plus freight. If yours is
materially different in size let me know the dimensions & I can reprice for
you.

If your pipe weights 4kgs when parcelled up the freight to the UK would be
$115.00 & from our experience the return freight is about 15% more at the
current exchange rate so say $250 freight all up. Current turn around time
is 4 weeks door to door.

Please feel free to give me a ring with any questions.

Cheers,

Dan

Means it does need to be sent to the UK, and yes it takes 4 weeks. Thats too long to wait in my eyes. Unless someone knows of a place which can do it a lot quicker.
Heat wrapping one side of the gearbox with the Zircotec flexible heat shield seems easier at this point.
Cheers
Shav
