ABS fuse back in, and the issue occurs. ABS fuse back out, and it doesn't occur.

So, it seems that it could be the ABS triggering as I enter the driveway on an angle, possibly as I 'trail-brake' into it. I'm not 100% convinced yet (and I won't drive around without ABS), but the testing in my driveway (probably 20 runs out and back in) seems pretty solid.

Now, the question becomes "Why is it doing this?" It's done it occasionally for as long as I've had the car (~15 months), it just seems to be worse lately.

Interesting Rob could be a faulty sensor

Yeah, possibly. I'm doing some more investigating, need to see if I can log ABS activation to confirm it.

In good news, I've had it confirmed by a mechanic (thanks Jeremy at NRG) that the issue is almost certainly ABS related.

Tomorrow, I'll pull the rear wheels and check the ABS sensors and also test the wheel bearings (as I've heard that a wheel bearing issue can cause ABS to do funny things).

OK.

So the wheel bearings are fine (zero play when trying to rock the wheels when the car is in the air).

About to check the sensor connections.

I can also confirm that the car DOES have an LSD in the rear (turn one rear wheel whilst the car is in the air, the other one turns the same direction). The front is an open diff (turn one front wheel, the other one turns in the opposite direction).

Glad to hear its not the centre diff rob

I have spare abs sensors from the Gtb if needed

By the way - rear diff on the auto Gt's is r160

Cheers, I'll flick you a PM.

Thanks for the info on the diff too. There's so much conflicting information out there...
