Findings on removing res (milk bottle)

Hi guys
After looking at removing resonator from air box I have some questions
1. After removal of resonator the air box is left with a big hole in the bottom of it. Wouldn't this suck or bring dirt into air box as it's not sealed as it was with res bottle attached?
2. Noise is increased very slightly ?
Curious on your thoughts as it seems like a few more cons than pros

1.Put your face against the hole where the resonator was, get someone to step on the accelerator if it sucks on your face.... then most likely it will suck dirt and dust from under the hood
2. yes noise will be increased you will hear a little more induction noise.

The other hole in the airbox where the intake duct goes into, you think that is not introducing dirt into the air box.
You have an air filter ? One of its job is to help prevent dirt/particles getting through..
FFS, seriously...

When I removed my cars milk bottle it started to cry. But back then it was still just a baby.

I removed mine in preparation for installing a washer bottle down there.
I covered the hole in the airbox with some heavy duty plastic.
No difference to the intake sound alas.

So benny my with the bottom of air box sealed was there still an increase in noise
Same as when bottle is completely off and or hole left open

You don't need to cover the hole newbie. As a few have mentioned the hole is before the filter.

I guess my 3" tbe is drowning out my induction noise
Additionally my HKS filter is very tightly sealed...
I sealed the res hole b/c I've forded puddles deeper than that previously

What do you mean ?
The Resonator hole is BEFORE the air filter in the air box. So it's not like air is bypassing the air filter by removing the resonator.
