Need a new engine

Postby nick2jz » Wed Jan 29, 2014 3:45 pm

My liberty gt spec b 07 model needs a new motor (piston is buggered)

I live on the sunshine coast and wondering if anyone knows of any where that would sell second hand motors

Ive had a quote of $4250 to replace the motor with a second hand one with 6 months warranty or $6000 plus for a new motor

If i do get the second hand motor i will be selling my current motor for parts.

Thanks
Nick

Call AM Auto on 5455 5269.

Al or Miles will sort you out for a fraction of that.

I concurr with AM Auto.
And probably regardless of price if you're after a drive in drive out solution with great aftersales service if there are any niggles and their extensive knowledge

Hey they could even jam an LS1, Toyota V10 or a turbo'd EZ30 in there for you.. :D

Serge has a brand new EJ25 MY13 STi short motor (tough crank and rods) that he'll sell stupidly cheap.

That's not a bad price for drive in / drive out. I thought you were talking supply only! You can shop them around and tell us later how it works out, or just go where we are telling you it will be done right.

Brand new cheap short motor from Serge and quality labour from AM. So full of win, you'll be glad you busted a piston.

There are a few tourist things when you go there. You can marvel at Kiahatisu's little ej20 that could, or look at the wall of memes.

Long block I'd pay ~$2,000, more if it included turbo, TMIC, alternator, etc. (RSS sells complete, turbo/TMIC, alt. incl. for ~$3,500)
Short, probably only $500-600 (RSS working second hand Ej255 shorts for $800)
