Performance down with hot conditions

Postby Newbie GT » Wed Jan 29, 2014 12:02 pm

Could be a stupid topic but how do you guys go in the heat with car performance as mine seems to be obvious and down on power..

Yeah pretty standard. Hot weather means warmer less dense air going into the engine.
If you look at drag times hot days tend to produce slower times.

adam described it perfectly...less dense air = less power.

Or wait for winter.

Alternatively if your tight on funds you could look into a water spray kit for your tmic. Won't increase power but will reduce lag in hot conditions.

I personally dont push the car in hot weather out of habit. I guess if I had a more efficient tmic or fmic you'd probably be tempted though. Bring on winter I say....

He did not me ! But if you want to assume things about me that's fine, I'm sure there are enough people on here that would think my iq is higher than 67 that actually know me... The dick head part well most of the time I'm not !

Other end of the spectrum. Cold weather, car overboosts, lifts heads.

This is interesting

You would think it's the opposite ..!

How to prevent this ? 18psi is a safe amount of boost after doing some reading
