gtx3582, gtx3576, or gtx3076?

Postby kiahatsiu » Sat Dec 07, 2013 10:21 am

I have reached a time in my build where I need to select a turbo. It is down to those three, but I honestly cannot make up my mind. Knowledgeable heads are telling me x3076 .82 rear, and have a nice responsive mid range motor. My less sensible more insane friends (the type who run 4708s with 290 cams in their supras) are urging me to go for the 3582(.82). I am also considering the 3576(.82). The improved 76mm GTX wheel with the 35r, which should allow it to spin up a bit sooner than the 3582 and hang on in the top end a bit longer than the 30r, would this just be worst of both worlds?

Everyone's input is appreciated, if you can back it up with links, graphs and whatnot that would be even better. Someone else is going come to these cross roads soon, so we may as well make a good thread on it.

Ian.

Oh, and this is the power curve I am used to. Anything is going to be an improvement on this.

What static comp are you running? And I'm assuming it will live its life on e85 after run in?

Pussy. ;)

8.4:1 e85 I'd go 3576

If you somehow find some testosterone somewhere and decide to rev it to 8000 then 3582 anyday

A few things Ian

Yours is dual avcs and your heads will outflow even ported 255 heads
You have higher comp
You're running e85

Looks like the above is stock location atp housing (fkn shite)

I would be surprised if yours with a gtx3576 0.82 made full boost anywhere later than 3800rpm

I am leaning towards the 3576. Just looking at my old plot, full boost at 5200....a 4088 would have better response.
The 3582 is still in play though.
