Redline / Cutout

Postby OzSTi » Fri Apr 04, 2008 2:42 pm

Anyone know what the cut-out for our 2.5T is?

I've regularly seen close to 7000rpm before changing up. I have had an Ecutek tune and dump which may lift rev ceiling.

Mike , i think its 7500 rpm

ecutek wouldnt have raised the limit mate unless Sean programmed it that way.

you also have a boost cut off as well.

Q, the marked redline on the GT is 6500rpm.

Is the STi donk that much different that allows it to spin to 8000?

perhaps Sean gave you an extra 1,000 rpm

7,500 is the redline in the 2 litre STI. ive never ever revved mine harder then 7,000. I have my shift beep set at 6,500...

i think the 8,000 rpm is the Jap market car Mike.

I found the cut out, somewhere north of 7000. I reckon it was about 7200rpm.

The engine spins out there so fast but I definitely felt it, it suddenly stopped revving, and I quickly changed up to second.
