First Dyno of MY07 GT Spec B

Postby sleepergtb » Thu Nov 02, 2006 5:38 pm

Had my first Dyno run done yesterday at C & V Performance (4WD Dyno) after putting on a Cat Back Exhaust.

We did the Dyno run just to ensure that there would be no issues with the car running too lean or experiencing boost issues with the exhaust. Vin at STI Docklands recommended it.

Based on other advice I was given (Thanks Mick) I didn't think there would be an issue so I did it just to be sure and to also see what boost it was running and how it was tuned in general.

As the graphs show no boost issues and the car was still running very very rich.

Car: MY07 GT Spec B - 5AT
Km: 3000
Fuel: Vortex 95
Gear - In Drive
Mods: HiTech Cat Back exhaust and mufflers, HKS Panel Filter, Resonator removed.

I have to say the service that I received from HiTech was very good and would recommend Lambros and their mufflers to anyone.

The sound in the car under normal driving conditions is almost as quiet as stock with no drone and I have driven it on both normal roads and the motorway now at up to 110km/h.

Put the foot down and you would think you were driving a rexy, they sound excellent.

Car has been transformed and now accelerates effortlessly.

I will let the graphs tell the rest of the story.

Cat,

No I did not do a run standard, I had intended to but it didn't work out.

Yours is a manual too. Do you have any idea on the difference in loss atw between the manual and auto?

I had a discussion with Mick and I think he agreed, but I didn't think the Catback would provide anymore 10 kw atw, and the filter a a couple if you are luckly.

I assume the 130 kw was in Sports # mode? Was the boost the same?

yup. mine is manual. im unsure what the difference is.. i doubt it would be HUGE.

i had mine dynoed on the day i got it...

yes in sports #, but sports also produces the same power output.. the delivery is different between the 2, as im sure you can tell when driving.

I did not do a Sports mode run and yes the delivery is different and I am surprised that the power output is the same I would of thought there would of been a small difference.

So based on your result there about 29% drivetrain loss. I had estimated it to be 30%.

Dyno run did not cost me anything.

The difference is in the acceleration delivery not the power output.

Its on your dash display shown on the curves. I thought it something to do with the boost levels wen i first got the car, but yeah realised after.
