I have a gready turbo timer and when I leave it to do its thing, the next time I start the car it goes into 'limp' mode where the check engine light is on, cruse control light flashes and I can't use my si drive.
I'm assuming its just the ecu having a fit but does anyone know a way around this?

First thing I did within a week of installing my aftermarket alarm that included a turbo timer was deactivate it. I kicked a CEL, still not 100% sure it was related to the turbo timer as my car was running a dump pipe without a tune, but after googling and seeing a variety of issues with turbo timers I just deactivated it. Not worth the hassle and like Robb said not as important with modern cars.

I don't have one in the Lib but I had one installed in the Foz by the previous owner.
I switched it off but most of the time knowing that it wasn't necessary, but loved the novelty of it, especially walking away from your running car and getting the WTF look from people
