Hi guys, I'm wondering if anybody has raised their Gen V wagon here? I know it's not the usual practice or great for handling, but we are selling our trusty WRX and need something bigger and more ground clearance for camping trips.

Subtle solutions do a lift kit (spacers above the shocks), and recommend only raising up to about 35mm only with a wheel alignment needed. That with some bigger wheels should give me around 50mm lift and around 200mm clearance.

Has anybody here done this? Or any other suggestions to raise it this high?

(I don't want an auto, so the 3.6 outback doesn't cut it, and the Forester XT isn't nearly the car the GT is.)

Maybe a 4WD shop can help you with something custom?

Why not buy the 2.0 Diesel Outback? More torque! and its already "lifted".

swap the suspension with some from a gen V outback?

mat04 did the opposite on his gen 4.
