Cold air intake, Silicone pipe help

Hey all,

Just bought a cold air intake and was just testing it out and one of the ends of the supplied silicone pipe was a bit bigger then the car inlet pipe (the other side was a really tight fit). Question is would an o ring clamp done up tight suffice or would I need to send it back for a tighter fitting pipe?

Or I could be doing some huge noob boner move here and that's how it is supposed to be, the extent of my mechanical experience and changing the oil and changing windscreen wiper blades

thanks
