Hitting the rev limiter.... Bad?

Hey guys,
I have an automatic GT and ever since my exhaust and tune my car hits the rev limiter when i floor it. Basically when the automatic gearbox changes gear and engages the clutch my car hits the rev limiter and bounces 1-2 times before the next gear engages.
So my question is, is it bad that my car hits the rev limiter? I try not to look down at the taco when flooring it, but im guessing the limiter is around 7500rpm which is fairly high... surely it must be bad for the engine if my revs get that high?????
Thoughts?

I've always heard that that is what the limiters for

Have you contacted the tuner?
It's definitely curious that you're getting to 7500 before hitting fuel cut off (don't auto GT's red line to 7000?)

The rev limiter is actually past redline i think... I know thats what the rev limiter is for, but surely its not good to be hitting it all the time???

This can't be good for engine at all !
With your current turbo the torque is all low and tapers off ?
Correct me Adam if wrong but still I think if your hitting limiter frequently it's not a good thing IMO

Thats why im asking... im no expert and would love someone in the know to tell me for certain if its bad or not, and if theres anything that can be done about it.
And yep its all down though and tapers off.
The problem is that with an auto you dont lift your foot to shift gears as you would in a manual, its not hitting the rev limiter in gear. Short of me trying to lift my foot at gear changes and trying to guess when its in the next gear i dont see how to avoid it.

It's not ideal in short. Half of it is tuneable, half is just the nature of the beast (or box).

Boost needs to be tapered off to allow it to shift
I would hazard a guess that boost either hasn't been tapered off at all toward redline or not enough
Plus you need to change various dbw tables to allow the ecu to tell the tcu its ok to shift

I have never hit the rev limiter in my car , ever. Something seems to be wrong with tune.
Have you contacted Mick?

Yeah I spoke to mick, he doesn't think its a problem... he suggested lifting the rev limitter... doesn't seem right to me though.

I don't think it will be too bad. But it won't be doing any favors if it's just longing at the top...wouldn't you have sport shift? (Paddles)
I think if you told Mick that you want it to top out just before Redline...

Yeah I have the paddles but I find it shifts gear quicker in drive than if I use the paddles. If its possible ill get mick to make it change gear before redline.. not much point having it change after the power starts to drop.

I've recently worn out my upshift paddle.
I have been driving my car too much in S# manual mode.
