Hi guys

After some advice on the above two turbos thinking of upgrading to a vf52 on a 6mt.

Any thoughts ? Right now the turbo kicks in rather hard.

What are you after from the car?
track warrior, 1/4 times, family car, lots of towing, highway cruiser, round-town shopping trolley.

I love the way it drives now but seems to run out of puff doesn't pull well has been tuned as well

Torque is great kicks in hard but then runs out of steam

Good all rounder I'm after with extra power torque etc

Turbos are a trade off. Want more top end? Lose some bottom end spool.
For what it is worth the vf52 is a stock Subaru turbo. It spools like the one you have, and holds on a little better up top. It won't sent the world on fire, but it will do.

Also, search a little, you don't even need to apply lateral thinking. Look for my11 wrx dyno graphs, compare them to yours....that will tell you when the vf52 will start making power.

Thanks with a dump pipe tune and exhaust it should make 200 kw at the wheels ?

Yes mate

Read around the build threads there are a few members with the vf52

I have the VF52 turbo which is probably better suited to an auto GT due to the quicker spool time.

If I had a manual GT I would probably go for a Garrett or Blouch ball bearing turbo however they cost a fair bit more.
