Hey,

I will be upgrading my wifes Gen IV H6 Liberty to a Gen V GT Wagon shortly and would like to know what mods would be required

to get it to around the 200 awkw mark.

This will be driven daily by my wife so would like an exhaust that is not too loud and does not drone,

maybe even keep the rear mufflers if they are not a big restriction.

Do I need to upgrade intake or TMIC?

Any info and advice would be much appreciated.

I would start off with an exhaust and tune which should take you up to the 170 to 180kw atw mark (depends if you get auto or manual).
You will be able keep the standard mufflers on which will keep it quiet and it won't cost you too much power.
You either need to run the car on E85 on upgrade your turbo and intercooler to get to the 200kw mark.
If you get a manual GT, you might be able to get close to 200kwatw with just an exhaust and tune

Agreed, exhaust and tune can put down 200kw atw, mine had that prior to fmic and cold air intake.

The only issue I have is noise, if it's too loud the wife will , so do any of you guys know if the x-force will bolt up to the factory rear mufflers?

i have a 3 inch turbo back with the sti mufflers welded to the new exhaust.
its really quite understated, any shop worth spending coin with could do this for you.

mine is a 2007 TB STI wags mate.

You could get any 3 inch setup adapted to your current rear mufflers, and get a similar sound, and power benefit.

I have the X-Force turbo back and Kido tune done to my manual car. I can not tell you exact rwkw as I haven't had it dynoed, but the tuner said it should be around 200 rwkw. With that said, I must say it made a hell of a difference to the way she pulls It accelerates so much quicker than before, very happy

Also, I don't think the exhaust is loud but the wife says she hears me coming up our street.

Has anyone got a dyno graph with power, torque, boost and AFR's for a Gen V Turbo?

X force generally make the Liberty exhaust kits upgradable in 3 stages: Down Pipe, Centre & Y Pipe and Rear Mufflers.
You should be able to upgrade any of your standard exhaust components at any stage (not 100% on Gen V's though)
They normally sell either down pipe & cat back systems, however X force distributors can delete the rear mufflers for a stealth exhaust upgrade which also works out much cheaper.
X Force also do mild steel and stainless systems which are both good however mild steel is heaps cheaper and stainless will last the lifetime of the car.
Most of the power increase comes from the down pipe (with high flow cat) then the centre & Y pipe followed by the rear mufflers last.
The rear mufflers by far make the biggest difference to noise output.

Upgrading the exhaust from the Turbo back and keeping the rear mufflers should keep it very close to stock sounding with a very slight sporty note.

Car will be kept for 8 yrs minimum so would a mild steel exhaust last that long?

mild steel shouldnt be an issue mate.
they sound better then stainless anyway.

As for mine, its barely louder then a stock sti wagon, yet over 200kwatw is much quicker then one
